With Google et al releasing their Open Social API Facebook should be really afraid, specially with their recent unfriendliness against application developers, (a-list) bloggers and subsequently their user. If there is anybody that know how to take good care of developers (API’s etc) and bloggers (pr) it is Google.

Oh, and MySpace has joined in with (among others) Friendster, Six Apart, Salesforce.com, Ning and LinkedIn. According to Robert Scoble Google reached out to Facebook and invited them as well, but so far they are very absent. Their loss.

This is going to be a really interesting end to a interesting year in the social networking sphere.
